Pilot Launch of Digital Consular Services for Sudanese Citizens in Jeddah

As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications, the Baladna Platform has launched the pilot phase of digital consular services for Sudanese citizens in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This phase represents an initial pilot stage, commencing with a limited set of consular services provided to citizens, within a broader framework aimed at enhancing access to government services in a more efficient and user-friendly manner.

The scope of services will be gradually expanded to include additional consular offerings, as well as services tailored to the business sector and private enterprises. Implementation will begin with consular services in Jeddah, followed by a nationwide rollout across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and will subsequently be extended in phases to Sudanese missions worldwide.

The initiative comes as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen digital connectivity and reduce the digital divide between urban and rural areas.
