About the Sudanese National Cybersecurity Authority

At a historic turning point for Sudan’s digital future, and at a defining moment as our country undergoes a comprehensive shift toward digitization—alongside the growing reliance on cyberspace as a vital artery for the economy, society, and government services—the establishment of the National Cybersecurity Authority in 2025 comes as a strategic and sovereign necessity. The Authority represents the highest national reference and the sole regulatory body responsible for all matters related to cybersecurity in the country. It was established to serve as the central brain and protective shield that unifies efforts, sets policies, and ensures the application of the highest standards of protection across all levels. The establishment of the Authority comes at a time when Sudan is undergoing a phase of comprehensive reconstruction and development, in which digital transformation is considered a key driver for achieving sustainable development goals. With every opportunity that digitization offers, a new challenge also emerges.

Our Vision

A secure and trusted Sudanese cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity. This is not just words, but a promise we make to ourselves. We see a future where the Sudanese cyberspace is a safe environment that unleashes innovation, attracts investments, and drives government operations towards providing services with efficiency and transparency. Our vision is for every individual and every institution in Sudan to feel confident and secure when using digital technologies, and for our country to be a regional model in cyber resilience and defense.

Our Mission

To achieve our vision, our mission is based on three integrated pillars: Protection, Enablement, and Building.

Protection

The Authority is responsible for protecting the national cyberspace from all forms of threats and attacks, including defending the vital interests of the state, its national security, critical infrastructure, and citizen data. We represent the first line of defense and the trusted national responder in times of digital crises and emergencies.

Empowerment

The Authority views cybersecurity as a key enabler for development and progress, not an obstacle. From this perspective, we work to enable government and private sectors through regulatory frameworks, clear standards, and practical guidelines that contribute to enhancing security practices, ensuring a safe and stable digital environment that supports the national economy.

Building

The Authority believes that investing in people is the foundation of sustainable protection. Therefore, we strive to build specialized national capabilities in cybersecurity through developing human resources, supporting scientific research, encouraging local innovation, and spreading cyber awareness in society, to build a generation capable of protecting their nation's digital assets.
