Sudanese Cyber Security Training and Qualification Center
(Core of the National Cyber Security Academy)
In light of the rapid escalation of digital threats and the increasing reliance on electronic systems and services within both the government and private sectors, a strategic necessity has emerged to build an integrated national ecosystem dedicated to cybersecurity in theory, practice, research, and development. Driven by this necessity, the Sudanese Cybersecurity Authority is working to formulate a comprehensive and phased future vision for the establishment of a specialized national academy for cybersecurity sciences, studies, and practices, in accordance with the highest international standards and approved best practices.
Given that the establishment of the academy requires legislative and regulatory foundations, technical infrastructure, advanced governance models, and the effective management of local, regional, and international partnerships, the Authority has decided—during its foundational stage—to launch the Sudanese Center for Cybersecurity Training, Qualification, and Development. This serves as a calculated practical step and a solid nucleus for realizing this comprehensive vision.
At its inception, the Center aims to bridge the existing gap in qualified personnel and contribute to the development of specialized national talents through training and development programs aligned with the Center’s initial capacity and resources, while maintaining high potential for future growth and expansion. It also seeks to enhance the exchange of knowledge and expertise with relevant institutions both within and outside Sudan in the fields of training, capacity building, and cybersecurity research and development.
Furthermore, the Center is dedicated to raising the level of cyber awareness and education among stakeholders and various segments of society. It achieves this by disseminating knowledge regarding digital threats, best prevention practices, precautionary measures, and safe digital behaviors in daily life, thereby contributing to the cultivation of a well-established national culture of cybersecurity.
In terms of vision, function, and phased development, this Center represents the institutional foundation upon which the National Cybersecurity Academy will be built. It is designed to be an accredited national reference for training, qualification, research, and development—supporting national policies, guarding the state’s capabilities in cyberspace, and keeping pace with global transformations in this vital industry.
