Sudanese Cyber Security Training and Qualification Center

(Core of the National Cyber Security Academy)

In light of the rapid escalation of digital threats and the increasing reliance on electronic systems and services in both government and private sectors, the strategic need emerges to build an integrated national system that addresses cybersecurity in terms of knowledge, practice, research, and development. Based on this necessity, the Sudanese Cyber Security Authority is working on crystallizing a comprehensive and gradual future vision for establishing a specialized national academy in cybersecurity sciences, studies, and practices, according to the highest international standards and best approved practices.

Given what establishing the academy requires in terms of legislative and regulatory foundations, technical infrastructure, advanced governance models, and effective management of local, regional, and international partnerships, the Authority decided in its founding phase to launch the Sudanese Center for Training, Qualification, and Development of Cyber Security, as a studied practical step and a solid nucleus for building this comprehensive vision.

The center aims at its launch to bridge the existing gap in qualified personnel and contribute to building specialized national competencies through training and development programs that match the center's size and capabilities in its initial phase, with high potential for future growth and expansion. It also seeks to enhance knowledge and experience exchange with relevant institutions inside and outside Sudan, in the fields of training, capacity building, and research and development in cybersecurity.

The center is also concerned with raising awareness and cybersecurity education among relevant entities and various segments of society, through spreading knowledge about digital threats, best prevention practices, precautionary measures, and safe digital behaviors in daily life, contributing to building a solid national cybersecurity culture.

This center represents, in terms of vision, function, and progression, the institutional foundation upon which the National Cyber Security Academy will be built in the future, to become an accredited national reference in training, qualification, research, and development, supporting national policies, guarding the state's capabilities in cyberspace, and keeping pace with global transformations in this vital industry.
